Vendor Spotlight: Amy Jordan Photography

Who is Amy Jordan Photography?

Amy is a wedding & lifestyle photographer in Sonoma County! She is so passionate about photographing couples, engagements & weddings!

Tell us a little about yourself! What is your personal / professional background and why did you start this business?

"I'm an outgoing, adventurous, wine & beer loving photographer. I love to create memories for my clients to look back on whenever they want. It brings me so much joy and happiness to photograph engagements, weddings, and every milestone that comes after that. I started photography in 2012 and shot my first solo wedding in 2015. From that point on I knew being a wedding photographer was the career path for me and everyday I am so thankful to be in this business!" ~Amy

Where is Amy Jordan Photography located? And are you willing to travel for destination weddings?

Amy is located in the heart of Wine Country but is always willing to travel! She will absolutely travel to your destination wedding and might even travel for free if it's one of her bucket list locations!!!

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

"Vows & the reception!" ~Amy

If you could give your couples one piece of advice about planning out their wedding day photography schedule, what would it be?

"Trust your photographer when they recommend how much time it takes to photograph something. A lot of times brides forget to incorporate how much time it takes to do the set up, walking to a location, changing gear out...etc. Also don't forget to carve time out for sunset photos!" ~Amy

What are you thoughts on a First Look and pre-ceremony photos?

"I'm a huge believer in doing what feels right for you! However, there are some huge benefits to having a first look. Just to name a few reasons: you get more photos of the two of you, it gives you intimate alone time and knocks some nerves out of the way before the ceremony. Even if you aren't interested in a first look, I recommend getting majority of your photos done before the ceremony so you can join everyone else during cocktail hour!" ~Amy

What is your process when booking clients and what can couples expect when working with you?

"I encourage all inquiries to contact me through my website so I can get to know you better! Then we can chat via FaceTime, phone call or even in person if you'd like. If the shoe fits we can both sign a contract and you can pay a retainer fee and I'll secure your wedding date for you. I'm very detailed when it comes to working with my clients and make sure that we aren't skimming over any important details to your wedding day! I send you a "what you expect" guide, lots of questionnaires and stay updated on all your wedding plans along the way! I also work super closely with all your vendors and make sure your expectations are met so you fall in love with your wedding day photos!" ~Amy

One last tidbit from Amy:

"I love telling love stories through photographs and I would be honored to capture your story! Let's get to know each other better and see if we would be a good fit!" ~Amy
